Dear Community and Members of the SVCA:
Our State legislators are working to ensure California addresses the current housing shortages across the State. This has resulted in legislative action to change zoning ordinances to allow for more housing units in certain areas. This meeting is our opportunity to find out how the County plans to adjust current County zoning ordinances to comply with State law. We need to hear and understand how SD County will be doing this.
What are the next steps? That depends on what we are told at the meeting. It is important to note, this is not about Bonita, but all of San Diego County. The same message will be presented at all the planned meetings. If you click on the Project Website link, you will find more context about what will be specifically addressed.
I think this is an important meeting for all County residents: and I appreciate that, by being held at our Bonita Library, it is convenient and easy to attend. Get there early to make sure you get a seat.
