Notice for SVCA October 5th Meeting

Please join us for the upcoming Sweetwater Valley Civic Association October 5th Meeting.

Dear SVCA Members and Community Members,

This has been a busy month for us with lots of positive feedback to both our participation in Bonitafest and our Community Spotlights.  We have our Civics Art Contest underway now in two of our elementary schools.

And we have other community enhancements to follow up on.  Also at this meeting, we will have Jesse Matias from the CHP here to meet with us and hear firsthand about all our traffic enforcement (or lack thereof) issues for Bonita.

  • Treasurer’s report for October 2022
  • Fire Safety News and Information from Fire Chief Mike Sims and from Sheriff’s Dept Julio Garcia
  • Traffic Safety News and Information from Jesse Matias CHP Public Information Officer
  • Elected Representative Reports: Kathleen Dang from the office of Representative Sara Jacobs, Andrew Harvey from the office of Supervisor Nora Vargas, and Amanda Angulo from the office of Councilmember John McCann

County Recording Notification Service

SVCA’s Vice President, Sharmane Estolano has passed on a new notice from the County.  Community members can subscribe to a free County Recording Notification Service where the County will notify us whenever a document is recorded against our property.  This is a good safeguard against any kind of fraud or malicious mischief.  So please read this carefully and consider taking action.  It is very short and concise so it only takes a minute.

Please come to our meeting and let us know what is on your mind, and what we can do to make our community better.  If you can’t attend, please email your concerns to me; and let me look into it.

I hope to see you all at our October 5th meeting.
